Wicklow Local Radio first appeared in 1980 and were based in a caravan in Arklow, Co Wicklow.
Mark Stuart and Alan King, long-term stalwarts of the Dublin pirate scene, were involved with the station.
Broadcasting on 1111kHz their studio set up consisted of Yamaha mixing equipment, Trio turntables and Sony tape decks.
