Radio Vera

Radio Vera first appeared in Limerick in November 1987, officially launching at the start of January 1988.

Its programming targeted the 15-35 year old audience and the transmitter’s 50 mile radius around Limerick city covered a huge area of the mid west.

It was based in William Street in the city in the same building as sister station Radio Munster.

The station broadcast around the clock and lasted until the legislated mass pirate closedowns at the end of 1988.
