RADIO ORANGE

Radio Orange was a political pirate radio station which broadcast from Belfast during the heightening of civil unrest in Northern Ireland in 1969. Closed by the British Army in October as a result of on-air incitements to riot, the station returned with their extremist broadcasts in June 1970, only to have their signal jammed by the army. They returned again in September 1970.
