Radio Clive was first heard on test in Dublin on Monday, January 17th, 1977 on 229m (1310kHz). Tests continued daily right up to Saturday with the first official programme going out on the Sunday at midday.
The aerial was 8 feet high and the transmission range was around 4 miles.
The address given was 23 Balcurris Road, Ballymun, Dublin 11.
Programmes continued Sundays at midday and Wednesday nights at 1am. Fear of a raid seen the Wednesday broadcasts moved to Fridays from the start of February.
Presenters heard were Alan King and Tony West.
The station stopped broadcasting on February 20th due to a fault in the transmitter.
They returned a month later with a name change to Radio City.
