RADIO 3 BELFAST

Radio 3 Belfast was a political pirate station which was on air for a few weeks in October 1970. Against a backdrop of civil unrest in Northern Ireland, the station broadcast to the Catholic community from the Falls Road area.
The name was a nod to the BBC’s Radios 1 & 2.
