Kiss 106 was a Dublin station which closed at the end of 1988. Broadcasting at weekends from Stillorgan, the station was set up after new legislation was announced intending to outlaw pirates at the end of 1988. They had no intention of applying for a licence, their intention was to take advantage of the final months of relative freedom of the airwaves.
