Dublin’s First Independent Local Community Broadcasting Service

This station started life as Downtown Community Radio in 1979 from the YMCA in Ringsend broadcasting on 963kHz. Later, using a bigger AM TX, they changed name to Dublin Community Radio. The station offered genuine community style programming.
