Big M Community Radio

Big M Community Radio was based in Castleblaney in Co Monaghan with a signal particularly aimed at the North. The station ceased broadcasting on December 30th 1988 in compliance with a new Broadcast Act.

Launched in 1977 by Tommy Toal, the station closed in 1981 only to open again a year later. Tommy left to run Hometown Radio in 1986 leaving Big M in the hands of Frank Morgan.
