On air from June 1981, W.A.B.C. Radio was a pirate radio station based in a converted hen hut on a farm at Currina, just outside Ballaghaderreen in Co Roscommon.
Operating previously in Mayo as North West Radio, W.A.B.C. Radio's station owner was a local man by the name of Ian Warmsley. The station’s phone number was Ballaghaderreen 90.
