Dublin pirate radio station
Radio Diamond
Diamond is Forever
Radio Diamond appeared in mid-1986 on 106.5MHz from Cherry Orchard in west Dublin. Using a homemade 150w transmitter, the station was known for playing pop music on weekdays and oldies and country music at the weekends. They later shifted to 106.1FM owing to a complaint from the British authorities over interference; and later again to 99.1MHz.
