Atlantic Radio, Mayo pirate station | Radiowaves Station Database

Atlantic Radio was on air between 2007 and 2011 from outside Castlebar, Co. Mayo on shortwave 6960kHz and on 1251kHz AM.

It was set up as a tribute to an older Mayo station with the same name and the original owners were not involved with the new version.

The SW (inverted V) and MW (inverted L) antennas fell down during a storm but the station continued broadcasting online up until July 2011.
