A.M.S. (Astra Media Services) broadcast from High St, Kilkenny on 98.6MHz. It first appeared in 1987, eventually closing – along with every other pirate – at the end of 1988.
Daytime programming was aimed at housewives with specialist music programming airing in the evenings.
Interesting fact: Robin Banks (later of Atlantic 252 and Radio Nova (satellite)) started his career at AMS.
